The Executive Board has recently determined the rates for tuition and course fees for the academic year 2017-2018.
The amount of the tuition fees depends on conditions including the nationality of the student, any degree in Dutch Higher Education and form of enrollment.
Statutory (legally set) tuition fee The statutory tuition fee for full-time study programs has been fixed by the Ministry of Education at € 2,006 (ft). For part-time courses at our University the rate is € 1,800 (pt).
The statutory tuition fee applies only to students who do not have a Dutch bachelor or master degree1 and who have an EEA nationality (EEA2 is incl. NL), or the Swiss or Surinam nationality, and for non-EEA students with a legally registered EEA-partnership or asylum status.
Institutional tuition fee The fees for students from outside the EEA and for students from The Netherlands or another EEA country who already have a Dutch bachelor or master degree, are set by the Board of Governors. For 2017-2018 the institutional tuition is € 6,500 for new students (full-time and part-time). For existing students the fee remains the same as in the 2016-2017 academic year, i.e. € 5,500 (full-time) and € 4,500 (part-time).
As of the academic year 2017-2018 a lower institutional tuition fee will apply to new students who have already been awarded a degree in the Netherlands from a non-art programme: € 3,250 (full-time and part-time).
