Student Portal

The Royal Academy of Art The Hague (KABK) connects students with private companies, non-profit organizations and government agencies. Through partnerships the KABK seeks to expand opportunities for students to connect with fields outside the academy.

Client partners benefit from the inquisitive nature, imaginative answers and out-of-the-box solutions provided by KABK’s students. Students in turn have the opportunity to collaborate with clients on real-world projects that give them relevant job experiences and prepare them for a successful career in the world of art and design.
Partnerships can take many forms, depending on the nature of the external organisation, the curriculum of the departments and the outline of the project. All proposals for partnerships are carefully screened on artistic and (mutual) educational value, attainability and merit for the community.
Partners in the past include among others:

  • Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW)
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • WestHolland Foreign Investment Agency (WFIA)
  • Ministry of Finance
  • Council for Culture (Raad voor Cultuur)
  • The Hague Philharmonics (Residentie Orkest)
  • Supreme Court of the Netherlands (Hoge Raad der Nederlanden)
  • Court of Audit (De Algemene Rekenkamer)
  • GEM Den Haag
  • Municipality of The Hague (Gemeente Den Haag)
  • Peace Palace (Vredespaleis)
  • WestHolland Foreign Investment Agency (WFIA)
